1. Is Australia ETA free?
The ETA has no Visa Application Charge, but submitting it in the official App costs AUD $20 per application. Eligible European passport holders can often use the free eVisitor 651 website instead.
Download the official App, read the passport chip with NFC, take a live face photo, answer declaration questions, pay AUD $20, and wait for the result.
ETA 601: for an ETA-eligible passport. Apply only in AustralianETA. There is no Visa Application Charge, but the App service charge is AUD $20.
eVisitor 651: for an eligible European passport. Apply online through Home Affairs and ImmiAccount. The government application is free.
Both: normally allow multiple visits during a 12-month period, with stays of up to 3 months per entry. An ETA ends sooner if its linked passport expires first.
